Top Shelf Tacos: Indulge in Authentic Mexican Flavors

Came to Top Shelf Tacos to specifically get Birria Tacos. I ordered a little more though, I got a Carne Asada Tacos, Birria Sope (Extra thick handmade corn tortilla with whole beans, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, queso fresco, crema) and Birria Tacos. These tacos were pretty good but can’t say it was nice on the way out! I think I liked the Sope the most though.

There is ample parking and a small sit-down area out front. Inside, the seating is cozy, casual, and plentiful. The menu is simple and streamlined so ordering is a breeze. I had the bean and cheese burrito and jalapeño poppers. Standard fare but well done here. The exceptional service and sauces helped round out the experience. The front staff was attentive and I also did pre-order via phone 20 minutes earlier which was very nice. Great experience and they also have food trucks all around the Southbay.

Oscar makes great food, Monica took our order. Al pastor and carnitas tacos. Nice atmosphere and decor. Great prices. Come get you some.

On Taco Tuesday, I placed my first takeout order from this place, and I was really impressed! The meat was fresh, and the tacos were pretty big. Both the chicken and carne asada were excellent. The tacos came deconstructed, with salsa, cilantro, and onions on the side. The spicy, creamy green salsa added such a fantastic flavor to the tacos! Oh, and the torta was delicious too. I’ll definitely be back for these tacos!

I get only a few items every time sure the rest is as good. Veggie bowl with shrimp. Come with brown rice bean salad cheese salad dressing sauce. Cheese flan and Carne asada tacos. Load up on onion radishes and cilantro, lime. Leftovers I bake in the oven to reheat . Brings back better flavor

First time visit and I was impressed! The service and ambiance were great. I ordered chicken and al pastor tacos, plus a carne asada torta. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back!!!

I’m not keen on Americanized Mexican food (like El Toritos) but I underestimated this place based on its name. This place serves genuine Mexican food that is more delicious than your average taco stand. I see some people about their prices and I have to admit they are higher than normal but you get what you pay for. The quality of meats are better and they stuff their tacos with plenty of meat. Also their salsa bar is kept clean and the salsas themselves are delicious. Defiantly recommend you have one of their tacos and taste the difference.
